CROSSVILLE PLUMBER DONATES WATER HEATER TO ELDERLY WOMAN, INSTALLS IT

Tennessee is the Volunteer State and there are examples every day of folks stepping up to help those in need.

Like the story of Sylvia Green and her surprise Santa who gifted her a water heater.

Green hadn’t had a working water heater for the last two years. She’s been getting through by manually heating water and pouring it into a cooler on wheels and using a garden water pond pump as a shower.

Even after this – Green had no hot water to wash her clothes or her hands.

Winter is coming but Green said she’s a senior citizen and would pay for her bills first, then see if there was enough money left over to buy a water heater.

After putting in a request online and hearing her story, local plumber Tracy Melton, the owner of Mr. Rooter in Crossville decided to bring Christmas to Green a little early this year.

Melton provided her with a free, brand-new water heater and was installed by his installer David York.

It was a complete surprise to Green, who now has a way to help stay warm this winter.
