CROSSVILLE NEWS FIRST HITS TWO MILLION VIEWS TODAY

screenshotJanuary 9th 2014, Crossville News First Facebook was launched as a local area online news page.  Soon after the launching of the CNF Facebook page, we developed the web site CrossvilleNews1st.com. Since April of 2014 (when site stats were first available to CNF), Crossvillenews1st.com has become the most viewed local online information page in Cumberland and surrounding counties area receiving over 2 million views as of today.

CNF began as a Facebook News page offering up local news right after Cumberland County dropped to -10 degrees and was experiencing major power outages during a January 2014 winter cold front.  It was very late in the evening and there was no information available to local residents about the outages or when they could expect their power to come back on. We began posting information on a personal Facebook page with information we were getting from the local VEC manager on how soon the power would come back on in each community with outages.

Our mission has always been to keep the Upper Cumberland Region informed about stories that were important, relevant or might be interesting to the local viewers with not just the printed word but with video as well – either prerecorded or live streaming of local events.

We are humbled at the massive viewership we’ve obtained over the last year and a half.   We appreciate your loyalty to our page and hope you will tell your friends about CNF.  We will continue to bring you news and information from around the region and just yesterday we launched Cookeville News First for our friends in Putnam and surrounding counties.  We also want to thank our many advertisers for their continued support of CNF.  We will continue to ensure you get the most exposure possible for your business at the lowest investment of any local mass media outlet.  Two million visits and growing – Crossville News First thanks you.
