In a word, bizarre.  According to sources, a Cumberland County man apparently was stabbed and beat up on Cox Valley Road this week and ended up in a Cookeville Hospital -but has no memory of what happened.  The victim, Daniel Davis, told investigators all he knows is he woke up on the ground with blood next to his arm and head.   The victim had a wound in his right arm, head wound and broken ribs. In addition, his wallet and shoes were gone.  Investigation continues.
