On October 16th, 2024, a Deputy sheriff responded to Tresa Street in reference to a shooting. Upon his arrival, he made contact with the victim, who stated he had accidentally shot himself in the left leg while attempting to clean a shotgun. The Deputy placed a tourniquet on the victim’s left leg to stop the bleeding.

Two additional Deputies arrived on scene where they went to the residence across the street located at Morgan Circle where the incident occurred before the victim went to the neighbor’s residence for help. They made contact with 54-year-old Anthony Eugene Johnson, who stated he and the victim had been in an argument and refused to further elaborate on what had occurred.
