On Dec 12, 2022 city units were dispatched to the Executive Inn for a male burning items on the balcony in a bucket. Upon arrival an officer spoke to the Manager who stated the man was on the second floor and was still burning things.

The officer made contact with the individual and from prior knowledge identified him as Timothy Wayne Moore. Mr. Moore had a burn pile approximately two feet in diameter in the open corridor, in front of his room. Mr. Moore was in a room on that corridor between the rest of the rooms and the stairway. He stated he was just burning papers. The officer got him away from the fire and ran him through dispatch. City Fire then arrived on scene and put out the fire. The officer placed Mr. Moore in custody and transported him to the Justice Center without incident and charged and served him with reckless endangerment.
