CROSSVILLE MAN RECOGNIZED ON VIDEO BY OFFICER AFTER TRYING TO PULL THIS OFF

On 10-24-24 City Units were dispatched to Lowe’s in reference to a theft report. Upon the officer’s arrival, he made contact with loss prevention who stated that on 09-09-24 a male subject entered the store through the garden entrance.

 

The male then selected a shopping cart and went to the outdoor power equipment area. The male then selected 2 Craftsman 16-inch chainsaws. The male then exited the store at approximately passing all points of sale. The officer observed the theft on video and identified that male subject as Mr. Kurt Sanders (DOB 09-29-81). The total value stolen was $338.00.

The officer then went to the Commissioners Office and wrote a warrant on Mr. Sanders for Theft of Property. While at intake he served Mr. Sanders with his warrant. Video footage of the theft was placed into evidence at the Crossville Police Department.
