CROSSVILLE MAN HAS BOTTLE OF “FAKE PEE” IN SIGHT IN HIS GLOVE COMPARTMENT WHICH LEADS TO THIS
On June 7, 2023 a city officer observed a Blue Ford truck traveling on Lantana Rd. at Lawson drive. He began pacing the truck and paced it going 38 in a 30 mph zone. While following the vehicle the officer observed it swerve over a double yellow line. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver identified as Brian Peck.
While speaking with Mr. Peck, the passenger retrieved the registration and insurance and the officer observed a bottle of pee commonly used to falsify the results of a drug test in the glove compartment. He asked Mr. Peck to get out of the vehicle at which time he became argumentative but eventually did exit the vehicle and consent to the search of himself and it. The officer located a cigarette pack in a pair of shorts underneath his sweat pants and inside were a Marijuana roach and a small clear baggie with a crystalline shard of a substance believed to be Methamphetamine weighing approx. 1.57 grams. During consent search of the truck the officer located another marijuana cigarette in a tray on the console.
Mr. Peck was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Cumberland County Jail. He was charged with simple possession of Marijuana and Methamphetamine.
All evidence was placed into temporary evidence at the police department. Mr. Peck was not charged with the possession of the fake pee and it was properly disposed of; but how exactly fake pee is properly disposed of was not made clear within the report nor was the identity or fate of the passenger.
