CROSSVILLE MAN FOUND UNRESPONSIVE FROM “LIQUID HEROIN” ARRESTED FOR DUI AND POSSESSION OF GLOCK

City units were dispatched to a man slumped over in a car parked on the side of Miller Avenue.  As an officer arrived in the area, dispatch advised that the man was unresponsive. The complainant was an off duty EMS employee.  The officer arrived at 12:14 p.m. where the complainant was requesting Narcan for the man inside the vehicle. The officer was advised that the man had already been given a 4mg dosage of Narcan. The man had slow respirations, pinpoint pupils, and was still slumped over and not responding.  A second dose of 4 mg of Narcan was administered to the man immediately.  The officer also sternum rubbed the man’s chest several times. He became more alert for several seconds and then closed his eyes again. The man then slowly regained alertness and his respirations became more normal after the second dose of Narcan had time to counteract the drug overdose. Emergency personnel arrived on scene where he was then removed from the vehicle and placed on a stretcher by EMS. When asked by EMS staff what he had taken he replied “Liquid Heroin“.

The man was identified by an ID located from a wallet in the center console as Michael Williams DOB 10-26-1994. A Glock model 22 pistol  was located near the seatbelt area to the right side of the drivers seat. The officer then observed a magazine just below the pistol in the driver compartment floorboard tucked between the floor mat and the center console. The magazine was a fifteen round Glock magazine with approximately 12 rounds of 40 caliber ammunition contained inside. Mr. Williams was then transported by EMS to the Cumberland Medical Center for further medical evaluation due to the drug overdose. The pistol and magazine were seized from the vehicle and the vehicle was towed.  The officer then obtained a search warrant for Mr. Williams blood

Mr. Williams was still at CMC in the emergency room after the search warrant for the blood was issued and  Mr. Williams consented to a blood draw. Mr. Williams remained in the care of medical staff at CMC.

The Glock model 22 handgun, magazine, and blood toxicology kit were taken, labeled, and placed into evidence at the Crossville Police Department. Warrants were written for Mr. Williams for driving under the influence and possession of a handgun while intoxicated.

Mr. Williams was arrested for the charges and a full report was issued.
