On 05/03/2025 city units were dispatched to McDonald’s on N. Main St in reference to a suspicious subject. Upon arrival a City Officer made contact with the male subject identified as Johnathan Banks whose speech was rapid and inaudible; and he exhibited quick jerky movements and was unsteady on his feet. He stated that he had a vape pen that possibly contained THC.

The employees of McDonald’s stated that he had made sexual comments towards customers and the employees. He attempted to touch them inappropriately before being asked to leave.

The officer confirmed at that time that Mr. Banks was under the influence of a mind-altering substance and was unsafe to be in the general public. Mr. Banks was banned from McDonald’s and taken into custody where he was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center. He was charged with public intoxication.
