CROSSVILLE MAN ARRESTED ON WARRANTS WHEN ACTING INTOXICATED NEAR DAYCARE UPSET OVER NOT HAVING MONEY FOR CIGARETTES
On 8-24-22 Crossville Police Department was dispatched to the area of Pinewood Dr. close to the day care in reference to a male and female acting like they were intoxicated.
When the officer arrived he found the male and female walking back the other direction on Pinewood Dr. near the daycare center. The officer pulled up and made contact with the couple and they were upset that they had no money and needed a cigarette. The officer asked the male subject his name and he said that it was James Godsey and he then proceeded to have dispatch conduct a warrant check and the computer revealed that he had two warrants for Violation of Probation. Dispatch notified the officer that the warrants were in hand and he placed James under arrest and placed him inside the patrol car. He was transported to the Justice Center Intake for booking. After his arrival the officer retrieved the warrants from the front desk and took them back to Intake where he signed and served them on James without any further incident.
