On February 13, 2024 City units were dispatched to north Main St. in reference to a man sitting on a log yelling and pacing back and fourth. When officers arrived one of the officers entered Dairy Queen and recognized the man to be Mr. Daniel Clark DOB 12/09/88.

The officer noted he had slurred speech and red watery eyes and asked him if he had consumed any alcohol to which he stated yes. The officer then asked him to walk outside and when he got up he was unsteady on his feet and almost fell. The officer then placed him in handcuffs for his safety and the safety of the public and walked him out the door.

When officers attempted to place Mr. Clark into the back of the patrol car he began to resist and try to spit.  One of the officers held him to where he could not spit on him with his hand on his jaw and despite being handcuffed it required two officers to get him in the back of the patrol car at which time he was escorted to intake. 

The report offered no further information on Mr. Clark’s charges or actions upon arrival at the Police Department.
