Valerie Hale, the current clerk for the City of Crossville, was at the top of the list of candidates to replace retiring city manager, Greg Wood. Hale was the number one pick for 4 council members and the second for one.

During the February work session on Tuesday, council members were of the consensus that Hale would be the ideal choice and are expected to approve her appointment in an official vote at next week’s regular council meeting. Once approved, she will assume the duties of City Manager on April 1^st.
