CROSSVILLE BUSINESS GETS THREATENING LETTER
Crossville Police were called to Lee’s Flowers on Thurman avenue where the owner said she received what she deemed a threatening letter. The letter, which had no return address, contained a newpaper clipping promoting the opening of Lee’s Flower. The owner, Lee Houston’s photo was in the article and had been crossed out with a pen. The words “in debt and fail” were also written in the letter. Mrs. Houston felt the letter was threatening. Police made contact with a possible suspect who denied any knowledge of the letter.
Lee’s Flowers is a new business in Crossville that has the same name as a former florist years ago. Mrs. Houston said she has permission from the former Lee’s Flowers to use the name and doesn’t know why anyone would have a problem.
