Sometimes you just have to say ‘huh?”.  Crossville Police arrested one Rockee Devonte Thomas, 26,  in the K-Mart parking lot last week after Thomas became unruly while the officer was actually writing a traffic citation.  Officer Griffin was trying to write the citation when Thomas wandered over yelling at the officer and threw an empty bottle of Gatorade down right in front of the car being cited.  Officer Griffin tried to subdue Thomas who refused to obey the officer’s orders.  Thomas had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.  It took two officers to get Mr. Thomas on the ground and under control.  Thomas admitted he was ‘drunk’.  Once in the cruiser,  Thomas asked Officer Griffin if he would stop off at the store and get him a Budweiser on the way to jail because he was ‘thirsty’.  As you may have guessed – there was no stopping – he went straight to jail – did not collect a Bud.
