COOKEVILLE MAN GIVES POLICE HIGH SPEED CHASE
A Cookeville man received a slew of charges after fleeing a traffic stop Monday.
Cookeville Police say they attempted to stop Terry Wayne Jackson for speeding and swerving on Pippin and Carlisle Roads, but instead he took off at a high rate of speed and fled.
Jackson later decided to stop the vehicle and was allegedly found with an open container of alcohol and in possession of a schedule VI drug.
Police charged Jackson with DUI, reckless endangerment, evading arrest, and several citations.
He will appear in court June 22.
