On Dec 5th, 2022 an officer was in the area of 70 E when he noticed a black Chevy Impala going the opposite direction. Upon turning to follow the vehicle he found that it was traveling fast and was nearing the Eagle Food Mart. While watching the vehicle he found that it turned into the parking lot and was pulling to the rear of the store.

The officer then initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle because the vehicle was pulling behind a closed business. Upon making contact with the driver he found him to be Mr. Nathaniel Snowden. After checking Mr. Snowden through dispatch they informed the officer that Mr. Snowden was a convicted sex offender and he did not have a valid license. The vehicle Mr. Snowden was driving was not his vehicle and was not listed as a vehicle that he could drive. Mr. Snowden stated that the vehicle belonged to his girlfriend and she stated that they had been together for weeks and Mr. Snowden had driven the vehicle a couple of times in the last couple of days. Mr. Snowden was placed under arrest and was transported to the Justice Center for booking. He was charged with violation of the sex offender registry and DOR license.
