Crossville News First always has a large number of viewers logging on to read our stories – typically in the tens of thousands every day.  But those readers are usually spread throughout the day. Last night was a bit too much though. One story, THE BILL HAS PASSED, HERE’S WHEN YOU CAN EXPECT YOUR $1,400 STIMULUS MONEY published yesterday was overwhelmed with viewers around 9:20 last night and caused the main server to crash.  At the time of the crash, there had been approximately 2000 page views per minute for the past several hours indicated by Google Analytics which apparently stressed out the servers and shut them down. Our site was down for approximately 40 minutes for which we apologize.  We reposted the stimulus story today for anyone who might have been trying to get on the site last night or you can click on the link HERE TO READ THE STORY.
