CITY COUNCIL TO VOTE ON INDOOR REC CENTER REFERENDUM TONIGHT

The Crossville City Council will meet this evening to vote on whether or not to have a public referendum on the proposed 40 million dollar indoor rec center. During the work session two out of the five council members Rob Harrison and Mike Turner  indicated they would like to have a referendum .

The other three members, Mayor Crawford, Art Gernt and Scott Shanks shared their opinions that too much work had been done toward the project to stop now.

The consensus among the three was that the people had entrusted them to make the right decisions without having a referendum on every city project.  The proposed rec center is the largestever city project undertaken financially . The council meeting is 6pm at city hall.
