CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER FIRING CITY MANAGER HILL AT TONIGHTS MEETING

For the second time this year, the Crossville City Council will be attempting to terminate a city manager.  This time its interim City Manager Steve Hill.  Coucncilman Pete Souza has placed on the agenda the following item for vote:

Effective immediately, Steve Hill is terminated as Interim City Manager and the City Council take nominations for Interim City Manager to serve until the new Council can hire a permanent City Manager.

Souza feels there are enough ethics violations against Hill that he should be replaced.  The Council terminated City Manager David Rutherford earlier this year.    There has been speculation that at least two other Councilmember’s are  in favor of Hill’s termination.  If that is the case, Hill would be removed and nominations would be taken for a new interim City Manager immediately. Crossville News First will live-stream the meeting beginning at 6pm.
