CHECK YOUR STORAGE UNITS – TWO BURGLARIES IN AS MANY WEEKS HAPPEN AT A1 STORAGE ON HWY 70 EAST

On 04/21/2025 a City Officer took a phone call in regard to a woman’s storage unit at the A1 Storage located at 3461 Hwy 70 East. She stated that maintenance had called and advised the lock on her unit was cut

She was last at the unit on 04/02/2025 and the lock was on at that time, and nothing was missing from the unit. When she arrived on 04/21/2025 to check after the lock was found cut, she noticed a bicycle missing from the unit. The bicycle was a Gary Fisher Tassajara Mountain Bike, which she valued at $1,500.00.

THEN

On 04-29-25 City Units were dispatched to A1 Storage (726 HWY 70E) in reference to a camper being broken into. Upon arrival an officer made contact with the victim who stated that when she arrived to check on her camper, she noticed the window was busted out. She stated that the last time she was at the storage facility on 04-24-25 at approximately 1500 hrs. She stated that she checked inside the camper and noticed her Stanley Fatmax J7CS Battery Pack valued at $76.39 was stolen. The victim further stated the vandalized window was valued at $175.00.

At the time of both reports, there were no known suspects and no camera footage available at either one of the A1 Storage locations.
