CAUTION: MAY ENCOUNTER TRAFFIC JAMS ALONG 127 YARD SALE TODAY

As most of you know, it’s that time of the year again – the worlds longest yard sale is in full swing.  This is the event you either love or hate.  Thousands of vendors set up along Highway 127 for about 700 miles selling their stuff.  This can present a traffic flow problem at times.   Friday it took me thirty minutes to drive from town to home – a four mile journey.  Had I been in a hurry I would not have been a very happy camper.  But I wasn’t so I kinda enjoyed looking over the bargains alongside the road as I crept so very slowly toward home…and at times – not moving at all.  Now if you’re going from Homestead to Crossville there are a couple of alternate routes. (you may have others – feel free to make suggestions)  Take 127 south to the State Park entrance, through the Park onto Pigeon Ridge Road to Lantana Road.  Or just hop over to highway 70 East on Highland Lane or Deep Draw.   Or, just stay home and grill out a burger.
