CATO PLANS TO REOPEN IN CROSSVILLE

Recently, it was revealed that CATO would be closing its Crossville store location in January, however, the reason for its closure was made known recently after a customer contacted CATO’s vice president, Warren Doyle.

In an email response, Doyle clarifies the reason for CATO’s closure is due to being unable to renew a lease with the store’s property owner. The response also states that CATO plans to reopen in Crossville as soon as a new suitable space becomes available.

The response reads:

“We share in your frustration with CATO closing in Crossville. It was not our choice to close, but we could not get our lease renewed with the current owner of our shopping center. Crossville is a town that we have enjoyed serving for over 50 years when we started with a store downtown. We will definitely look to reopen a location in Crossville once a suitable space is available.”
