BURGLARS ARE LEAVING NOTHING BEHIND IN RECENT THEFTS, WEDDING VIDEO INCLUDED

burglary_1546658cJust a few days ago we reported on a series of burglaries in the county where virtually everything under the sun was being stolen from homes.  There was the case of thieves breaking into a home and stealing the hardwood flooring, side by side refrigerator, ceiling fan, washing machine and even the rock from a fireplace from a Leffle Webb road home between Vandever and Lantana.  Now the sheriff’s blotter shows another break-in at a Mimosa Lane home in Tansi.  This time the burglars took time to virtually clean the house out taking  jewelry, 2 flat screen t.v.s,  gun clips, hearing protection and shooting glasses, coins, cash, luggage, a space heater, a printer, an iPad, vehicle titles, a passport and kitchen scales. The burglars also took a video camera and even the homeowners wedding video.  Authorities aren’t saying if they believe the rash of burglaries are connected, but the nature of the stolen property and sheer quantity is not the norm for a break-in.  Usually thieves like to get in and out quickly and that’s not very easy when you loading a side-by-side refrigerator or washing machine or several flat screens.
