On October 24, 2023 City units were dispatched to Buc-ee’s in reference to a theft report. Upon the officer’s arrival he spoke with Loss prevention who stated a female entered the store and took jeans off the rack went into the restroom and walked out without paying.

They advised the officer that the camera system was down and that is why they reported it later on. They got a tag number but could not tell which state it was out of. Buc-ee’s does want to press charges and will need restitution. The video surveillance was placed into evidence.
