U.S. Marshals are searching for the suspect in a shooting at the main Knoxville post office, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

Officers said the shooting was reported at the post office location on Weisgarber Road. There is no word on whether there were any victims.

The suspect’s vehicle was found abandoned on Kim Watt Road. Police believe he may be on foot in the area and should be considered armed and dangerous.

People are asked to call 911 if they see a suspicious person in the area and should not approach him.
