BOJANGLES IN SPARTA CLOSING DOWN, BUT WHAT ABOUT CROSSVILLE?

We ran across this news item from Sparta Tennessee regarding Bojangles restaurant closing down:

Bojangles, located at 681 Roosevelt Drive will close for good. Sunday night, August 12, at 8:00 p.m. According to Bojangles Senior Corporate Communications Director, Brian K. Little, Bojangles will shut down ten under-performing company owned restaurants across four states.

“As we announced during our recent Q2 earnings call, we are shutting certain locations down,” says Little. “We invite Bojangles’ fans to visit our other restaurant located at 1033 South Willow Avenue in Cookeville.”

This story, which appeared in Spartalive , caught our attention when we read the line “We invite Bojangles’ fans to visit our other restaurant located at 1033 South Willow Avenue in Cookeville.”  We wondered why they didn’t mention the Crossville Bojangles.  So we called the Crossville Bojangles and asked the manager.  “Of course not” was the answer when we asked if the Crossville location was also in line to be closed down.   We suspected that would be the answer because the Crossville Bojangles always seems to be quite busy – not in the ‘under-performing’ category.  Good news since we love those Bo-Tato Rounds.
