BLEDSOE SHERIFF DEPUTY FIRED FOR PAWNING COUNTY-ISSUED WEAPONS

A Bledsoe County Sheriff’s deputy has been fired after he allegedly pawned two county-issued firearms at shops in Dunlap and Dayton,Tennessee. Deputy Jake Brewer will likely be charged by the end of the week pending the District Attorney’s report. Brewer allegedly pawned his own weapon and a weapon he borrowed from another deputy. Brewer has been on the force for 7 years and this if the first time the Sheriff’s Department says he’s been in trouble. If the DA determines official misconduct, the case will be presented to the grand jury in November.
