Thieves were very serious about stealing an ATM machine this morning in White House Tennessee. They spotted a large fork lift across the street from the Farmers Bank – hot wired it – drove it over to the bank and tried to lift the ATM machine off its foundation onto a Chevy pickup truck.  Everything seemed to going well until the ATM fell off the fork lift.

A witness scared the duo off before they could attempt to lift the ATM a second time.

The suspects jumped into the truck and drove off across a grass field behind the bank. Police are still looking for the would-be thieve.  They didn’t get away with any money – but did more than $50,000 in damage to the bank building and ATM machine.
