The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department has identified and interviewed a possible suspect in a recent attempted child abduction in the Monterey area.

Although no charges have been filed in the incident, investigators say they were able to identify and interview the possible suspect based on detailed descriptions provided.

Meanwhile residents in Cumberland County have been on the lookout for a suspicious white van roaming the county lately, however the suspect in Monterey was driving a white Chrysler Sebring convertible.

No other details have been given surround the attempted abduction.
