AREA VETERINARIANS PARTICIPATING IN RABIES CLINICS THIS WEEKEND (SCHEDULE)

Rabies is on the rise in Tennessee with five confirmed cases in domestic cats and dogs so far in 2016. According to state law, all dogs and cats 6 months of age or older must be administered the rabies vaccine be given by or under the supervision of a veterinarian. Area veterinarians in a coordinated effort with the Cumberland County Health Department will be hosting rabies vaccination clinics in Cumberland County on April 15 and April 16.

Homestead Animal Medical Clinic will hold its Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Friday, April 15 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 16 from 8 a.m. to Noon.

Rabies Vaccination clinics will also be held on Saturday, April 16 from 8 a.m. to Noon at Best Friends Veterinary Hospital, Highland Veterinary Clinic, Plateau Animal Hospital, Upper Cumberland Veterinary Clinic and Village Veterinary Clinic.
