Just a day after two people were killed when their car was hit by a train in Harriman, a Maryville man has died after being hit by a train.

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office says a call came in jut before midnight reporting a man hit by a CSX train. Investigators have found the body of the man who was hit an killed. There’s no identification of the victim at this time.

The investigation is happening in a wooded area off Watson Drive in Maryville.
