ANOTHER DEATH OF A CHILD AFTER 3-YEAR-OLD FINDS GUN IN CAR

It’s been just a little over a month since a 7-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his brother in Crossville after finding a gun in the family car. And now a similar tragedy has happened in Chattanooga. Police say that 3-year-old Gavin Lee Pittman was in a car seat in the back of the family’s van when he managed to crawl out and get a handgun out of the glove-box. The little boy fired the gun and fatally shot himself in the face. Gavin’s mother had left the vehicle to talk on the phone. Authorities have ruled the little boy’s death as accidental. It’s not certain at this time if his mother will face charges for negligence.
