ALGOOD MAYOR ACCUSED OF SEX WITH PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE IN THP PATROL CAR, SUES CITY

Algood Mayor Scott Bilbrey has sued the city and several employees.
Bilbrey is seeking $2 million and a jury trial after several former and current employees filed a complaint against Bilbrey for allegedly having consensual sex with public works employee Karen Bohannon inside his State Trooper patrol car.
At the time of the complaint,  Bilbrey served as a state trooper with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, however an investigation into the incident turned out to be inconclusive.
Bilbrey’s lawsuits states that Public Works Director Victor Jones, former Mayor Terry Foutch, Police Chief Gary Harris, and Karen Bohannon conspired to prevent Bilbrey from winning his Mayoral bid by ‘spreading the lie’ about the two having sex.
Bilbrey wants compensatory damages for past and future economic losses, extreme emotional distress, mental anguish, impairment of the quality of life, and consequential losses.
