PLEASE READ ??
Today while I was driving back from Franklin, on I40 East right near the Rockwood exit, someone threw something off the overpass and busted my sunroof wide open. It sounded like a shotgun went off inside my car. Luckily for me, I had my sunroof cover closed, and whatever they threw bounced off the safety glass/sunroof cover and didn’t come into my vehicle. If I had of had the cover open or if I had of been 1/2 second faster, it may have come threw my windshield. I think that would have been a much different outcome. I pulled over at the next exit because I didn’t know what had happened at that point, and saw that it was my sunroof when I got up on a curb and looked at the top of my Yukon. When I got home Randy called Roane County and they had THP call me. The highway patrolman was livid – he asked me if I was coming down the mountain towards Rockwood on the interstate and I told him I was. He said they have had several incidents that have happened there – one last week involved a tractor trailer. They threw something off the overpass that made a basketball size hole all the way thru the tractor trailers hood. He said he was scared to death someone was gonna get killed and that he was gonna try his best to catch them. He was heading to that area to see if he could see or find anyone. SO, please please be careful if you are driving thru Rockwood/Harriman area on the interstate – please pay attention to the overpasses!!! Sorry so long – just don’t want anything to happen to anyone else. I can only praise God for my protection – no doubt He was looking out for me!!
