Hundreds turned out today for the Memorial Day Ceremony at Veteran’s Park off Main St. across from the courthouse. The Cumberland Community Band played patriotic tunes and several speakers took to the podium remembering and honoring the ones who gave all for our freedom.  Main Street was closed down during the program.  The flags remained at half staff untill 12noon honoring fallen soldiers and then raised at noon to indicate, as the speaker said,”There is still hope for the United States of America”.
