GOOD NEWS: CRIME IS DOWN IN CROSSVILLE/CUMBERLAND CO: SHERIFF & POLICE CHIEF REPORT (AUDIO)

Cumberland County Sheriff Casey Cox along with Crossville Police Chief Rod Shoap gave a very positive report to the Crossville City Council Thursday night indicating the crime rate for the area had gone down.  Sheriff Cox reported that the new Horizon Initiative was giving both departments insight into Cumberland County’s youth which would translate into a better relationship and better understanding by the young of the community over time.  Chief Shoap reported that the crime rate had decreased over the previous year.  You can listen to the report by both leaders below:
