ONLINE PETITION WANTS ‘JUSTICE FOR NOAH CHAMBERLIN’
An online petition “Justice for Noah Chamberlin” has more than 16,000 signatures within a matter of days.
Two-year-old Noah was found deceased in a wooded area in Pinson 1.6 miles from where he went missing seven days earlier.
Madison County Sheriff Office Public Information Officer Tom Mapes said last Thursday foul play was not suspected; they did not suspect any wild animals took the boy’s life either.
The petition claims otherwise.
“Accidents happen and we are all aware of that,” the petition’s description says, “But when there are pieces missing and questions that can’t be answered then by no way what so ever can you rule out foul play!!”
Here are points the petition makes:
1. Trained search dogs and helicopters with heat detectors that began searching for Noah quickly after he was reported missing should have been able to find him.
2. Chester County Sheriff Blair Weaver’s close relationship with the family “should have automatically required him to step down as a leader due to conflict of interest.”
3. The petition claims it seem suspicious that the family did not attend the prayer vigil; that there was a van at their home that night and Noah’s body was found the next day.
4. The autopsy should not be done by a local doctor.
5. Law enforcement would have heard Noah crying in the woods during the early stages of the search.
