TN STATE REP PROPOSES ‘SLOW POKE’ LAW
A Tennessee lawmaker wants to make it illegal to drive in the passing lane unless you’re passing another car.
State Representative Dan Howell calls it the “slow poke” law.
Howell came up with the idea for the bill on a road trip from Middle to East Tennessee.
He would try to pass a slow moving car, only to find the car in the fast lane going just as slow.
The Tennessee General Assembly will convene in January.
