ONE KILLED, FIVE INJURED IN TWO VEHICLE CRASH IN ROANE COUNTY SATURDAY
A man was killed and five people were injured in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 70 on Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened around 1:44 p.m. in Roane County, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Robin W. Ledbetter of Harriman was traveling westbound in a Chevy Trailblazer when her car crossed the center line and struck Terrance A. Clark’s Toyota Tacoma, killing Clark.
Traveling with Robin Ledbetter was Alexis Robarge and Daniel R. Ledbetter, Jr, both of Harriman. Traveling with Terrance Clark was Tabitha Clark and Leafe Clark, also of Harriman.
Tests reported that Robin Ledbetter had drugs in her system, according to THP. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor.
Five of the victims, including Terrance Clark, were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
Citations and criminal charges are pending.
