On August 23, 2025, an arrest warrant was issued for ERIC B. GARRISION, age 43, charging him with Second Degree murder related to a shooting incident that occurred on August 22, 2025 on Main Street in Crossville Tennessee where ALBERT STURGILL was shot and later died.

This charge was based on information known to investigators at the time.

The results of the complete investigation were presented to the Cumberland County Grand Jury on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. After hearing testimony from the lead investigator, the Grand Jury issued a True Bill of Indictment charging ERIC B. GARRISON with First Degree murder.

Garrison was arrested on April 8, 2026 and is being held in the Cumberland County Jail on a 1.5 million dollar bond. The case is scheduled to appear on the docket in the Cumberland County Criminal Court for arraignment on May 12, 2026.
