ALERT: TENNESSEANS DON’T HAVE TO FILE TAX RETURNS TILL NOVEMBER

Tennessee residents and businesses impacted by the recent severe weather events have been granted an extension to file their federal tax returns. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced Monday that individuals and businesses affected by the storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding that began on April 2, 2025, now have until November 3, 2025, to file their tax returns and make payments without penalty.

The IRS is providing this relief to all taxpayers in Tennessee, as the entire state has been designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as eligible for assistance. This extension applies to all 95 counties in Tennessee.
