TVA CEO RETIRING, GIVING UP HIS $10.5M SALARY

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Friday the Tennessee Valley Authority announced President and CEO Jeff Lyash announced his plans to retire.

In a press release TVA said Lyash’s career spanned 40 years in the industry, including six as head of TVA’s executive branch. The CEO and president was appointed in 2019.

Lyash will continue to serve as CEO until the TVA Board of Directors names a successor.

Back in 2020 President Donald Trump tried to fire Lyash  saying the executive was “ridiculously overpaid. workers. At the time the TVA CEO was making 8 million per year.  The current salary for Lyash is $10.5 million per year.
