(NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE REPORT)
..A wintry mix is expected to develop over the mid state tonight and linger into Monday…
…A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for northwestern counties from 10 PM CST tonight until 10 am CST Monday…
The time of greatest likelihood for snow and sleet along the Interstate 40 corridor…including the Nashville Metro area…will be late tonight and early Monday…including rush hour. Although the bulk of wintry precipitation will not last that long…temperatures will be hovering around the freezing mark…and some slick spots may develop on area roadways…especially along bridges and overpasses. Folks should plan on possible travel delays during rush hour early Monday morning.
All travel problems in middle Tennessee are expected to improve quickly before lunchtime Monday as this storm system moves away. Temperatures will climb above freezing quickly…and brisk northwest winds will help dry the roads.
Please stay weather aware through Monday morning…as this snowfall has the potential to create some travel problems and potentially school delays.
