THREE TRUCKS, TRAILER, WOOD SPLITTER AND A BICYCLE STOLEN IN ONE WEEK
One of the coldest weeks we’ve had thus far didn’t even slow down local thieves. Matter of fact, based on police reports, thieves are working overtime lately. Just this past week alone, over $10,000 in vehicles and equipment were stolen in separate thefts across the county. A 1995 Green Ford Ranger was reported stolen from a residence on Renfro Hollow Road on Tuesday. A Creston Road Resident reported the theft of a 1993 Maroon Chevrolet Blazer..and it didn’t even run. The owner said that vehicle had broke down and was just parked in the driveway. Wednesday, 1976 Ford Semi Wrecker was reported stolen from out on Gordon Lowe Road. A $4,000 hydraulic dump trailer was stolen from Bell Road this week. And thieves must have been preparing for more cold weather when they made off with a $1000.00 wood splitter from a Lake Tansi residence Thursday. Then there were the health conscious thieves who stole a $600.00 bicycle from a Wild Rose Lane residence Monday.
