A twenty year old resident of Cumberland County came to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office November 27th and reported that on October 20, 2024, she began talking with someone claiming to be Shy Daniel on Instagram.
The victim stated that the man persuaded her to go buy Apple cards, scratch and take photos of the back and send
them to him via her phone. Victim stated that the man used his child and the threat of harming himself in
order to get her to send this money via apple cards. The young lady stated that she sent cards in $500.00 increments
and has been swindled out of $14000.00 to $15000.00 dollars. No suspects have been named
