CROSSVILLE WOMAN UNDER INFLUENCE AFRAID OF HER HOME – TRIES TO GAIN ENTRY FOR RESTROOM HERE

On 10-8-2024 at 7:30 p.m. a city Officer arrived in the area of Irwin Avenue attempting to locate a female that was trying to open doors to gain entry into the Crossville Housing Authority and Crossville Fire Department.
The Officer located Kristi Malone DOB 3/31/97 in that area. Ms. Malone could not stop moving and making utterances that did not make sense. She was also not wearing shoes but only socks. She stated that she lived close by but was afraid to go inside her home and that she was trying to gain entry into those buildings to use the restroom. Ms. Malone admitted to consuming methamphetamine. Ms. Malone appeared to still be under the influence of the stimulant and was arrested for public intoxication for her safety and being a public nuisance. Ms. Malone was transported to intake for processing.
