CROSSVILLE MAN TRIES TO OUTRUN MULTIPLE OFFICERS ON FOOT

On 09/09/2024, three officers went to Barnwell Rd to serve Timothy Debord with his outstanding warrants. Upon making contact with Mr. Debord, he bolted away from all three officers. After a foot pursuit they began trying to place Mr. Debord into handcuffs at which point he resisted all three officers. After a struggle they were able to get Mr. Debord into custody.

Upon searching Mr. Debord’s person, officers located a small clear zip-loc bag which contained a small amount of a crystal-like residue believed to be Methamphetamine. Also located were two “tooters” commonly used to smoke narcotics out of.

Timothy was finally placed into a patrol car and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center for booking. Upon arrival Mr. Debord was charged with his outstanding warrant for theft along with evading, resisting arrest, and simple possession. The crystal-like substance was placed into evidence along with a TBI lab request form for classification, identification, and weight. The paraphernalia located was properly disposed of at the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
