KELLI TIPTON BUCHANNON TO TAKE OVER AS PROPERTY ASSESSOR FROM INCUMBENT GILBERT
Cumberland County Assessor of Property Sandy Gilbert will relinquish her duties as Cumberland County Property Assessor at the end of August. On September 1st Kelli Tipton Buchannon, who defeated Gilbert in the March Republican Primary, will begin serving as Property Assessor
Sandy Gilbert will have an end-of-service party with refreshments August 28 at 2 p.m. at the Assessor of Property’s Office at 2 S. Main St. in Crossville.
Gilbert said serving Cumberland County for 34 years has been an honor.
Kelli Tipton Buchannon was the only Property Assessor candidate to defeat an incumbent Assessor in the entire state and the first time a candidate defeated a same party incumbent in a Cumberland County election.
