On May 29, 2024 a City Officer was traveling South on Miller Avenue by the Roundabout and observed a black Chevy Monte Carlo pass him traveling North and observed the driver to not be wearing his seatbelt. 

The Officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and came into contact with Mr. Phillip Mendoza DOB: 08-30-1984. A check through dispatch revealed that he had two active Violation of Probation Warrants in Anderson County and they did want to place a hold. Mr. Mendoza was then placed into custody and was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center.

Mr. Mendoza was also given a City citation for not wearing his seatbelt.
