ROCKWOOD TN – Three people were taken to the hospital after a man came to their house on Chamberlain Avenue and attacked them with a baseball bat. Wesley Williams told police 22 year old Johnathan William Beard came to his house, knocked on the door, and when he opened the door Beard hit him in the head with a baseball bat.  Another person at the house, Kelsey Boyd, hit Beard with a drum stool then Beard hit her with the baseball bat also.  Beard hit yet a third person with the bat at the residence before he left the scene.  Beard was apprehended later and hauled to jail.  No word on why Beard went on the rampage against the victims.
